Egg project

Egg project

Stage one.
We put the egg into the glass jar. Then we put vinegar into the jar and then we left it for a couple of hours. The vinegar went fuzzy and the eggs skin started to peel off. Noe's skin on his egg peeled off faster than mine. I think tomorrow the red skin might disappear and the egg might turn white.

    This is an exciting experiment. What do you think is making the shell peel off? Why does that happen?

      Hi Mrs Naden,
      The shell peeled off because of the vinegar. It was the acid in the vinegar.
      I was looking forward to seeing what happened to it today and it became squishy.
